BPR participates in the 1st Interbank Sports tournament

Rwanda Bankers Association (RBA) organised the first sport tournament for banks operating in Rwanda where 15 banks including BPR and the central bank (BNR) participated. BPR participated in soccer, volley ball and basketball in the tournament that had sports disciplines of soccer, swimming, basketball and volley ball.

The tournament happened on two weekends with the first knock out games taking place on the weekends of 2nd & 3rd September whereas the semifinals and finals took place on the weekends of 8th and 9th September 2017.on our debut game, our soccer team hammered Urwego Bank 5 goals-1 qualifying for the semifinals which we unluckily lost against Bank of Kigali with 2 goals to 0

Tough final it was at petit stade but the team gave it it’s all and left the opponents scared for next year

At the closing ceremony our soccer team was named the ‘best fair play’ team whereas the Basketball team was recognised for finishing in 2nd place.
